This finely handcrafted brass statue captures one of the most celebrated moments in Hindu mythology: Krishna’s triumphant dance upon the hood of the serpent king Kaliya. Cast using the traditional lost-wax method and finished with a rich, antique bronze-effect patina, the sculpture shows young Krishna balanced on one foot atop Kaliya’s raised hood, one hand lifted in a graceful abhaya-style gesture and the other holding the serpent’s coiling tail. A small figure with folded hands — representing the humbled Kaliya seeking Krishna’s mercy — is worked into the base of the hood, adding narrative depth rarely found in mass-produced idols.
